Home Supported Living was formed in 1999. It
was the idea of a group of people with a background in sheltered
housing, community nursing, social work and caring for members of their own
elderly families. During this initial period an application was put to the
Inland Revenue in Scotland
to apply for Charitable Status—this was granted in May 2000.
This made Home Supported Living a registered Charity and therefore a non
profit making organisation.
Home Supports hole ethos is to support older
people and people with disabilities of any kind to remain independent and
part of the community where they belong.
|
This
is done by providing support through community alarms with mobile area
warden support and home care services.
